Scholarship Application and Requirements
Scholarship Requirements:
1. Must be a JuMP Company member in good standing.
2. Must be a graduating high school senior.
3. Must have been an active member of JuMP Company for two or more years.
4. One year of active membership must be the sophomore, junior or senior year of high school.
Scholarship Information:
1. Application deadline is MAY 25th.
2. Applications can either be mailed to the PO Box or hand delivered (in a sealed envelope) to a
Board Member. If mailed, it must be postmarked by May 22th. *USPS has been very slow lately. We
recommend turning it into a Board Member.
3. Seniors will be advised of the availability of scholarship applications by May 13th via the JuMP
Company website and social media.
4. Scholarship recipients & amounts are decided and approved by the JuMP Company Executive
Board/Scholarship Committee. *Any Board members with a qualifying senior are not allowed on the
Scholarship Committee.
5. Scholarships must be decided by June 1st to accommodate for publication of recipients in the
summer show program.
6. Scholarships will be announced on June 18th during the intermission of the final dress
rehearsal/parent night of the summer show.
7. Scholarship money may be put on hold for up to three years upon the written request of the
student. Extensions of this time frame must be approved by the Executive Board/Scholarship
Committee.
Point System:
Points will only be awarded if the member participates in the complete production of a show.
1. Cast Member: 1 point will be awarded per show.
2. Backstage Crew Member : 1 point will be awarded per show.
3. Creative Team: 1 point will be awarded per show for helping as the Assistant Director,
Assistant Choreographer, etc.
4. Production Team: 1 point will be awarded per show for significant help with sets, costumes,
props, hair & makeup, etc.
5. Junior Board: 1 point will be awarded for each year the student serves as an active member
of the Junior Board. Another 1 to 3 points are available for overall participation on the Junior
Board.
6. JuMP Spirit: 1 to 5 points will be awarded based on the applicant’s volunteerism, kindness
towards other JuMP Company members, cooperative attitude during productions, as well as
attendance and help at workshops & parades. These points are awarded to recognize those
members who time after time go the extra mile for JuMP Company.
